Want to get away from it all? Looking for an ideal location to rest, relax, read and visit with family or friends? If so, our cabin is for you. Suches, Georgia is located 32 miles from Blue Ridge, Georgia; 12 miles from Vogel State Park (Blairsville, Georgia) 25 miles from Dahlonega, Georgia. With a bedroom off of the living area and a sleeping loft, our cabin is designed to sleep eight. There is a queen bedroom off of the living room and a queen bed in the sleeping loft. There is a futon in the living room and a second futon in a separated area of the loft. There is one full bath. The kitchen has all new appliances and features a gas range, dish washer, washer and dryer. Dishes, pots, utensils are provided. There is a gas grill on the deck. Gas heat keeps you toasty on a fall night and numerous ceiling fans, combined with the natural fresh air provide the ideal "air conditioning".
There are a very limited number of restaurants in Suches and none are open year round. There is one store. Dining out may require a thirty minute drive via a mountain road, so bring your snacks/groceries with you. Lake Winfield Scott is less than one mile from the cabin. Swimming, fishing, hiking are all available. Bring your canoe or an inflatable boat and enjoy this crystal clear lake. There are numerous picnic sites. Vogel State Park is less than 10 miles away and offers all the venues of Lake Winfield Scott plus a camp store, miniature golf, and paddle boats. Many people just enjoy doing nothing.
